Charleston, SC---Brian Taptick, a 6' tall goaltender from Middletown, CT will be attending The Citadel next season. He has been playing travel hockey since he was 9 and started playing AAA hockey at age 12. Brian was one of 3 Summer Sophomore MVP's at the 2005 Hockey Night in Boston Summer Showcase Tournament. He attended High School at Canterbury School and played 4 years on the varsity team. Also, at Canterbury he made the All-Tournament Team at the 2007-2008 E.G. Watkins Christmas Tournament at Cushing Academy. In High School Brian also ran cross country and was captain of team for two years, rowed crew, and played baseball.
Brian chose The Citadel because he was interested in attending a southern school, and to pursue a career in the Army.
