Fiscal Pear and Shimmer in the Call of River Whale, a new book written by Olivia Brooks-Scrivanich, is an exciting children's story about the escapades of a little pear named Fiscal Pear and a lightning bug named Shimmer. Some of Olivia Brooks-Scrivanich's fondest memories are the summer evenings spent with her parents and five siblings watching the pattern of the stars in the sky. By the time she was in eighth grade, she had mastered four different musical instruments. She and her husband live with their dog in Kirkland, Washington.
