RTR: Giving To God?

Giving to God.  We hear it all the time, but what does giving to God really look like? What does it entail?  Is giving to the church the same as giving to God?  Once your money hits the collection plate, is your giving duty finished?  Does giving only consist of money?  If you gave your money straight to someone in need instead of giving it to the church, have you not done your Chrisitan duty?   Is there anything wrong with giving to the church?
