Continuing our "PLANTATION TO THE PEW - The Remnants & Evolution of Slavery" series, we will be discussing the danger that faced the run away slave. Harriet Tubman faced danger countless times trying to lead slaves to freedom. Once a slave decided to run away; they faced potential danger, betrayal, hunger, and isolation. Any help they recieved was done clandestinely (i.e. Underground Railroad). What similarities can we see between the hardships facing the run away slave, and the Christian that wants to "Run Away" from a pimp preacher or the Institutionalized Church in general?
