I Samuel 16:13
13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.
I can imagine the look on the faces of David's brothers after the prophet Samuel came to their house looking to the anoint the next king of Israel. Little beknownst to the "preacher" Samuel and his family, God had alternate plans!
The least likely to be anointed king was! From that point, not only did his life change, but his families changed as well.
Often times it is the one noone really expects to be significant in life that God chooses, anoints, and sets up to fulfill his divine purpose. Believe me, not everyone was happy about David's new "spot" in God, but they couldnt' do anything about it! Sounds familiar?
