Losing a loved one to terminal illness is a roller coaster ride. Some days the ride is even, smooth and uneventful. Other days, it is an uphill climb: slow, plodding and filled with hard tasks. Still other days, it is like you are plunging out of control. The speed that life is traveling takes your breath away. You want to scream with terror and grab anything you can to regain some control. Stop the free fall. You are faced with decisions and questions. You have to make decisions you don't want to make. You do not feel qualified to make the decision."What if I make the wrong decision? What if I make a mistake?" Hospice can be there to support and guide you through this journey. You do not have to travel it alone. Hospice works with the family as well as the client who is ill. Hospice provides support services such as chaplains and social workers to help you through the emotional part of the journey. And, hospice support does not have to stop with the death of a loved one. Join us as Bob Ritzen, chaplain with HospiceCare of Boulder Broomfield Counties helps us understand the support the Hospice can give. Show is hosted by: Christine, RN www.HeartsAndHomesForSeniors.com, Your Assisted Living Guide.
