Tour de Cure of Colorado - Helping Fight and Cure Diabetes

The Tour de Cure of Colorado is coming to Longmont August 21, 2010. Greg LeMond is the Honorary Chairperson for the American Diabetes Association Toured de Cure. He won the Tour de France with one goal in mind; the finish line. Now, he rides with another goal in mind: a cure for diabetes. Joins us as Bob Jobin, Vice Chairperson of the Tour de Cure, talks about the tour. Bob himself, is a Red Rider (a rider with diabetes). He will talk about not only the ride, but, his experiences as an athlete with diabetes. Diabetes impacts a large portion of our population. Many people believe the myth, that if you have diabetes you have to live a sedentary life. Bob is living proof that this myth is not true. The Tour de Cure is being heralded as the ride of your life. It is a way we can all help find a cure and fight diabetes. Not only are there rides for every level of ability, there are many opportunities to be volunteer supporters.
