Tonight's interview will discuss a new, joint effort of authors and historians of Alcoholics Anonymous Dick B. and Ken B. As a result of their September 2013 research tour of St. Johnsbury, Vermont (where A.A. cofounder Dr. Bob was born and raised), they are now in the process of producing a series of five DVD's with the overall title "Bill W., Dr. Bob, and the Cure of Alcoholism: 'The Rest of the Story.'" This evening's interview represents our first announcement on this show and presents an overview of the authors' latest Alcoholics Anonymous history and Christian Recovery Movement major project. The series will consist of five videos and a printed guidebook on the subject. The impetus for such a work involves several factors. First, every year of the joint historical and publishing work of Dick B. and Ken B. has produced new historical research, insight, findings, analysis, and publications. Dick B. has already published 46 titles and over 1,500 articles on A.A. history and the Christian Recovery Movement. And these have been supplemented with the ongoing publication of information on Dick B.'s several blogs, Facebook page, Twitter page, WordPress blog, YouTube channel, and audio talks. And with information published on Cyber Recovery Social, Daily Recovery, Tumbler, LinkedIn, Hub, and In the Rooms. Moreover, in March 2010, New Life Spirit Recovery, Inc.--a first rate recovery, counselor training, and alcohol-addiction Christian treatment center In Huntington Beach, California--graciously videotaped our "Introductory Foundations for Christian Recovery" class--a four-DVD series. That class has been used and seen in several top-notch Christian treatment and Christian Recovery Fellowship programs. An up-to-date presentation is now called for. And Dick will give that presentation in this evening's interview.
