Tim and Deanna Treadwaywere married in 1973 after meeting at Providence College in Manitoba. They moved to Vernon B.C. where Tim earned his pilot's license. Tim used this skill to work as a missionary to Manaus, Brazil. Deanna was involved with teaching in the missionary school. Upon completing a project on a duplex, they returned to Kenora Ontario where Tim joined his father in the construction company building homes. Deanna became a dental assistant.
Tim and Deanna Treadwaybecame "living history" as they traveled back in time to 1875 through the popular Canadian television mini-series “Pioneer Quest.” For one year, they weathered tremendous adversities of flood, fire, crop failures, sick animals, rotting food, relentless mosquitoes, poison ivy, wood ticks, and no toilet paper, yet, "stuck it out." They built a homestead just like our pioneer forefathers and experienced serenity, community, and hard-won successes. You can find out more about the Treadways at their website www.pioneerquest.ca.
