Christian Devotions SPEAK UP!
March 15 – Jim Daly & Eddie Jones
6:00 p.m. EST
Join us this week on Christian Devotions SPEAK UP! as host Scott McCausey interviews the President of Focus on the Family, Jim Daly, & the cofounder of Christian Devotion Ministries, Eddie Jones.
Jim Daly's personal journey from orphan to head of an international Christian organization dedicated to helping families thrive is a powerful story. Abandoned by his alcoholic father at age 5, Daly lost his mother to cancer four years later—a wound deepened when his grieving stepfather emptied the family home and took off with almost everything while Daly, the youngest of five children, and his siblings were at their mother's funeral.
Daly assumed the presidency of Focus on the Family in 2005 after 16 years with the ministry. Daly's second book, Stronger, was released in August 2010. It discusses in depth the ways God works through tragedy in the lives of His people. He has been married to his wife, Jean, since 1986. They have two sons and reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Eddie Jones is the cofounder of Christian Devotions Ministries. He is Acquisition Editor of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, an imprint of Christian Devotions Ministries. Eddie has authored four non-fiction books, one young adult novel, an adult romantic comedy, and written over a hundred articles that have appeared in over 20 different publications. He is a contributing writer for CBN.com, Common Ground Christian News, The Ocracoke Observer, and Living Aboard Magazine, among other publications. Look for his Young Adult novel, The Curse of Captain LaFoote from Port Yonder Press.
