#88A Scriptures for the Latter Days Exo 8:5 Matt 27:43

I love the scriptures!!!

God knows the world around us and he knows the needs of all his children. We may not understand why challenges come our way but we can trust that we have a loving Heavenly Father that will give us what will make us stronger and give us all the opportunity to turn to him.

On the cross when Christ was removed from the presence of God, I believe he faced something that you and I do not have the capacity to face in this life. Even with the fall from his presence in the Garden of Eden we still bask in the reflection of his presence through his Son and priesthood that he holds and without that presence we simply cannot exist in this sphere. It is by his power that we have life and consciousness here. Even when no one held the priesthood during the apostasy his influence was still here.

Christ, being the only begotten of the Father, was the only son of man born who was able to face that reality and still have life. This he freely gave as he entered the pit of hell which you and I need never see because of his atonement. We cannot understand the magnitude of what he did for us, but we can turn our hearts and our minds to his will and be saved. This is reason enough to rejoice, no matter what our present, past, or future circumstances may be.
