#86A Scriptures for the Latter Days Exo 7:3 Matt 27:24

I love the scriptures!!!

To say that Pharaoh hardened his heart is quite different than saying that the Lord hardened his heart. I am so grateful for the Lord having Joseph Smith to clarify some things from the Bible that had been removed or entered wrongly. The gospel is not a complex thing that is not able to be understood by man. That is a lie of the adversary. His principles are eternal and simple and give life meaning and understanding.

Nor are the truths of the gospel able to be washed away by the will of man. Pilate washed his hands in front of the people but that did not take away his accountability for the immoral act of allowing an innocent man to be slain.

Likewise, we need to realize that regardless of the laws of the land or our social circle we will be held accountable for those things that we understand on a moral plane and if we go against our conscience or understanding of moral principles we will need to repent and ask forgiveness and change our course so that we are in line with the truths to the extent that we understand them.
