The patriarch Jacob, now Israel, blesses the sons of Joseph of Egypt as his own and puts the younger before the elder in the blessing showing that it is the Spirit of God that must be honored at all times and not the definitions and protocol of mankind.
The witness that Israel gives of how the Lord has fed him and shepherded him throughout his life testifies of the witness of the plan of salvation that was intrinsic in this man's life. He walked as a child of God and knew who was in control and guiding the way and allowing life and its experience.No wonder those who follow Christ are known as the House of Israel.
Christ speaks of the signs of his coming and that there will be many who will claim to be him that are not. He also said that man would try to deceive us and that the saints will be hated and killed and the love of man will grow cold because of iniquity.
The abomination of desolation will be reviewed next week. It is a phrase that has grabbed my attention for some time now and I believe it has multiple layers of meaning and witness.
