I love the scriptures!!!
Even Isaiah! Nephi reviews Isaiah's words and the metaphors regarding Israel. We, too, may learn of the consequences of turning from the Holy Ghost and the words of the prophets as we consider what happened to the children of Israel as the Lord allowed them to be scattered and separated.
We would do well to ask ourselves if we are willing to follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost or do we consider ourselves to be "old enough", "wise enough" to be able to figure it out for ourselves. Are we ever truly "enough" to "see" all the challenges and issues their are and to be able to go along on our own?
The answer is a resounding NO for anyone who has an understanding of the reality of who and what we are in this probationary state. What a comfort it is to know that we have a Heavenly Father that will chastise using mercy and give us the opportunity to return to him!
