I love the scriptures!!! 5 May 2012 The Spirit was strong strong on me today. I have a witness that this is what I am supposed to be doing. It is not very glamorous perhaps and not smooth but it is sharing the scriptures as I would with my children, from a place of my understanding and experiences with a mind and heart open to the promptings of the Spirit for this time and moment.

The Book of Mormon records 1/3 of the Book of Isaiah. Christ said we should study it and study it and he has given us the ability to do so if we read the Book of Mormon at least once a year as the prophets have instructed.

Chapter 21 starts off speaking of the house of Israel, that is you and I. His promises are sure and he knows the thoughts and intents of our hearts as individuals and as a whole, as suggested by verse 14. I look forward to reading his promises to us this next week.

D&C 20:29-37 testifies of the preparation of the heart of man to present himself for baptism. Review 37 especially. 31 states that the grace comes to those who serve God with all their might, minds, and strength and leads to their sanctification. This is a choice blessing and yet we are cautioned that we still must take heed and pray lest we fall into temptation.

What choice blessings and witnesses we find in the scriptures of truth and light that show us the path so that we do not need to be confused.

Mothers and fathers, read Moses 5:16 and know that not every child will choose the right and that is a personal choice of the child. As parents we have responsibilities to set up good examples before our children and to live lives that are pure and clean and repent as needed, but we do not take on the full accounting for how our children live.

I look forward to sharing the scriptures with you again, till next time, bye for now.
