I love the scriptures!!! Isaiah is becoming one of my favorite prophets! I love the poetry and the way he uses words that hide profound principles from those who mock the Lord and yet manifest unto those who seek him diligently such precious truths and realities about life on this very earth. Jacob is also one of my very favorites. We do not have many of his words but his devotion and dedication to God and his principles are very evident in his words. I do not think it a coincidence that he speaks of the words of Isaiah. We used the footnotes a lot in this segment and they shed a lot of light on what we do. We talked about the purpose and meaning of families and being a standard or guide to others through the church and household of Israel. This family was grounded and received the covenant from God because Abraham committed himself to seeking and understanding the mind and will of God in every aspect of his life. This is what you and I can do today and what we truly must do if we are to truly be counted among the household of Israel. Membership status or blood lines do not make you part of that covenant. Not even a temple recommend can do that. Only a heart and mind that seeks the will of the Lord and is willing to abide in that will day and night, line upon line, precept upon precept will be counted as part of the household of Israel and the heirs with Jesus Christ. I believe it is important to recognize that it was the church, the household of faith, and not a race or any other man made demographic that crucified Christ. It was those that had been called to sustain the Standard of the mind and will of God that crucified Christ. As such we want to recognize that it is not an organization or a race that we belong to or have challenge with but that it is our very selves and do we personally seek to understand the mind and will of God on a daily basis and are we willing to yield our own appetites and will to the Father's. Till next time, Gramma Ann.
