I love the scriptures!!! So sorry I was tardy! I got set up 9 minutes before the show and decided to work on my writing. I really love the scriptures! They are life and breath to me. In Genesis 31:10-42 we learned something of the character of our fore-fathers who carried forth the covenant. We learned of Jacob's virtue and honoring of Laban despite the ill treatment he received at the hand of his father-in-law. We saw his courtesy to his wives in telling them of his dream and his impression that they should leave there and return to the land of his father and his desire to get their consent in the matter. Of Rachel we see, perhaps a favored child as well as the favored wife. A woman who was knowledgeable of the heart of her father and that his goals had more to do with doing what was right before man than following after righteousness. We also see how God is ever mindful of the righteous and will have a watchcare over them. This brings me great comfort and helps me be of good cheer and have greater courage to choose the right. In Matthew 17:1-8 we see Peter, James, and John witnessing the transfiguration. Moses and Elias were in attendance and even God the Father appeared in voice. Was this not an ordinance of great importance in preparing the Son of Man for his trial in Gethsemane and on Calvary?!! Peter offered to build a tabernacle for each of them and then the voice of God was heard, thereafter Christ councilled that no one should told of this until he was resurrected. Sacred matters, all things done in order in the house of the Lord. Oh, if only we as children of God could be mindful of his voice and obedient unto his words. Till next time, Christa-Ann
