I love the scriptures! 1 Nephi 13:40, D&C 10:30, and Moses 3:20. We will do a review:We read how the Lord would see that his children were taught in a way that expressed all the truths of the gospel and how he knew that man would leave some plain and precious things out of the gospel so he would have other witnesses of his truth and the book that we are reading is one of them. They enlighten the mind of man and remind us of the gospel and what Heavenly Father wants for us. We talked about time, 1Nephi13:42, and how the time that we walk on this earth is not as important as being true to the relationship with God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ, that we need to have to be true to ourselves. Interesting to note is that many of the prophets record the ability to discern the past and the future. I know that time is changing greatly in meaning for me. In D&C we read that God knows the hearts and minds of men and the way that the adversary seeks to destroy his work and witness such as when the first 116 pages were lost. And is we look to him he will help us overcome those obstacles and trickery's that are placed in our way as well. Nephi, the son of Lehi who wrote those first pages, was prompted to share even more detail on the very things that God wanted shared from Lehi's testimony, so we have those things that were important to Father. Here we learn to that if we seek to have the glory of God in all things that when we fall short, as Joseph did here, he will help us and set us back on the right road. In Moses we read the second account of the creation of Eve. Sweet are the words and sentiments found in 3:23-24. "Bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh..." He understood and taught us the meaning of life and gender and the union that is so important between the two. It occurs to me that Adam is not quoted often at all, yet in these words he gives us truth that is being questioned from nearly every side. Here is truth, blessings.
