#18 The Book of Mormon for Latter-day Saint Families w/Gramma Ann 1Nephi 17:48

I love the Book of Mormon, I do, and I love to share it. Come with me as we read how Nephi's brothers finally comply and help him build the ship. Bring a prayer, Gramma Ann The Review: hmmm, Nephi was so full of the spirit of the Lord that had his brothers touched him they would have withered and fallen dead...even to reach his hand he was able to shock them... It took a "sign" for the brothers to give heed to the will of the Lord, are we like that? And then on getting a sign from the Lord through a mortal do we want to praise and worship the mortal instead of God as these brethren of Nephi did? We read how because Nephi sought the Lord by going into the mountain often to pray and seek instruction he was able to build the ship in a manner that man had never before done. He was shown a higher way. I believe that people who seek assistance from God will find things beyond their knowledge that will help mankind. I believe this has been done in the past and that it will yet be done into the future. It makes me think that I need to ask the Lord what I can do to better communicate with mankind so that they can feel the joy I have come to know in the service of God. We read how Nephi's family was shown the provisions they should take on their journey and realize that Father is preparing us constantly for what is coming in the future. He knows what we will need. The question is are we willing to prepare and follow his instructions so we will be ready? Till next time, Gramma Ann Love you!!!!!!
