Bank Bail Out & Slave Reparations
US’ Best Strategy for Stability
“It was the first time the different ethnic groups had come together in such a way,” the Queen of England said in Jamestown, Virginia in similar words not so long ago when describing the first time that the English came in contact with Native Americans. American history proves that the first association between the English and the Native Americans led to the slaughtering of the Native Americans and the theft of their land. It is a fact that the English paid money to anyone who brought in a dead Native American in the 19th century. It is also a fact that the Europeans stole ALL of the land upon which the country known as the United States is now built. The Native Americans in all regions of the US received large land masses called reservations for them to house and raise their children, and preserve their rich culture, and their ethnic group. The Native Americans that did not move to reservations became victim to yet another US Government law that forced African immigrants who worked for European landowners to work for no pay and to legally be considered as property of European landowners to be called slaves. The thing that is most disturbing in this American story is that the Native Americans, African Americans, and Native/African Americans received no reservation upon which to live, raise their children, preserve their cultures and their ethnic groups; even though they were promised 40 acres of land and a mule for each freed slave. The European land owners tortured slaves with inhuman hideous unthinkable methods taught to them by Indian slave consultant William Lynch, or as a result of his book Let’s Make a Slave, like public beating with a leather whip; chopping off the foot of a slave who tries to run; forcing the most attractive Native or Africans women to copulate with white men only; and forcing a disobedient slave to the pain and disfigurement of a thumb screw. The torture to descendants of slaves did not stop once the slaves were Emancipated, or freed, because the slave descendants were not given adequate opportunities to become educated or to get professional high quality work without being threatened, beaten, oppressed, belittled, or even killed. The torture of freed slaves’ descendants caused other freed slaves’ descendants who were not very brave, or familiar with any other culture other than slave descendant culture, not to want to become a part of the mainstream culture of the American United States. Musical art from those slave descendants who shared who shared the non-assimilation attitude towards their country’s mainstream culture became known as Hip Hop, which means to be street smart, or wise, while living the fast life of the oppressed, which involves illegal activity or doing things that don’t fit into Americas mainstream. The only way to correct the damages on the descendants of slaves resulting from horrid mistakes made by England’s early settlers in the US is to give land, or a house, and a monthly salary, stipend, to every American descendant of a slave in the United States; which is the same solution from the US Government to the Native American crises. Now that the US Government is choosing to assist the financially troubled largest banks in the US who conduct business in the Republican American manner of business first and ethics second, it would be a GREAT idea that the US Government force the MEGA banks to pay for the houses for the slaves descendants over a 8 year time period in exchange for the help of US citizen tax dollars; While the banks take on land purchases, the US government picks up the monthly allotment bill for the slave descendants. This blog is just a little idea to push towards peace and stability in the US democratic society. Chris Harbem
