Call in to speak with the host
It's exciting, people recognize us they know who we are.People point from afar and say. "Oh look he is that preacher or she is the First Lady at church XYZ. But here is the problem with that. We can sometimes get so wrapped up in "working for the Lord" that we do not actually work on the work. We have to be careful that the things we do are not just for attention. Even though we may not feel like it is, it just may well be. Sometimes attention takes the place for what is lacking elsewhere. Sometimes we treat total strangers better than we do our own family. This is not of God. We have to get back to the basics and work on the work. The work that God through Jesus has commissioned us to do. Matthew 28:16-20.
... (19) Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (NIV) Now tell me where in there does it talk about preaching condemnation and hell fire? Finances and shopping and on and on. We forget and some of us don't know the one true and original message that we are to teach.
