Originally from New Jersey, Natasha Munson never intended to write a series of books. Instead, her primary goal was to save her teenage cousin from making some of the same choices that had led Natasha to living a life she hated. She wanted to find a way to reach her heart without preaching or yelling at her. So, Natasha began writing down all the lessons she had learned in life. She wrote about everything she had endured, including every piece of wisdom she wished someone had shared with her about life, love, money and relationships.
Then she realized that these lessons could help other women as well. “My goal is to empower women by helping them live lives in which they smile in their sleep, love as though they have never been hurt and create lives they love!” says Natasha. "My mission is to empower the community one spirit at a time."
Life Lessons for My Sisters: How to Make Wise Choices and Live a Life You Love! developed into a self-publishing success as Natasha became the “poster girl” for iUniverse. Featured in USA Today Weekend as one of the top self-published authors in the country, Natasha sold nearly 20,000 copies before Hyperion purchased her debut title and her second book, Spiritual Lessons for My Sisters: How to Get Over the Drama and Live Your Best Life!
Natasha has been promoted and featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today Weekend, Publishers Weekly , Atlanta Journal Constitution, Writer’s Digest, Essence, Ebony, Heart & Soul, Black Issues Book Review, and Sister Power magazine. She has also appeared on Lifetime Live! (Lifetime Television), BET Nightly News, At Home – Live! with Chuck & Jenni, Mornings with Scott & Lorrie, Mom Talk Radio, Written Voices radio, Biography Channel and CBN.com (The Christian Broadcasting Network).
With a focus on "empowering the community one spirit at a time", Natasha served as the Keynote Speaker for Ebony Magazine's 2007 SisterSpeak Luncheon in Los Angeles, as the Keynote Speaker for two Especially Me Conferences dedicated to African-American high school and middle school girls, and as an inspirational speaker for many wonderful church and women's groups throughout the nation.
About the Book
This book provides basic information about pursuing Godly ideas. The purpose of the book is to give the reader a resource that will help them manifest their ideas.
The book contains a spiritual section that discusses how our ideas relate to the building of God’s kingdom. This section discusses the relationship between the creative character of God and of humanity and God’s expectations when God gives one an idea.
A second section of the book focuses on perceiving a Godly idea. This section will assist the reader in answering the questions: 1) Do I have a Godly Idea? 2) Is the idea artistic, technical or business related? 3) Does the idea need to be truly novel?
Another section of the book discusses steps to take when actually pursuing an idea. Now that one has perceived an idea, they need to know how to pursue it. One chapter titled “First Things First” discusses the initial steps one should take when they have an idea. These basic steps provide initial protection for the idea and also provide guidelines for working with other people that may assist them.
Not everyone is happy when one pursues a Godly idea. There are people and spiritual forces that want to disrupt, distort and destroy the idea and efforts to pursue it. The last section of the book called “Protecting Godly Ideas” provides an in-depth discussion of various ways to protect ideas. This section has individual chapters that discuss copyrights, trademarks, patents and trade secrets. An appendix also contains legal materials including descriptions of various types of legal agreements one may need during the product development process.
The objective of this book is to help people manifest their ideas as God intends for them to do. Information is the key element needed to overcome many obstacles that prevent people from pursuing their ideas. With proper information, people can faithfully and diligently pursue their God-given ideas and dreams.
