How To Prepare To Manifest and Meet Your Soul Mate
An Interview with Arielle Ford of
    www.SoulmateKit.com

Arielle Ford believes that finding true love is possible for anyone, at any age, and she points to herself as living proof. Married for the first time at age 44, she expanded on the set of skills that she used to launch her highly successful Public Relations firm, The Ford Group, and applied them to her love life. She is best known for launching the careers of many bestselling self-help and spiritual authors including Deepak Chopra, Jack Canfield & Mark Victor Hansen of Chicken Soup for the Soul, Neale Donald Walsch and many others. Arielle is the author of six books and is one of the founding partners of The Spiritual Cinema Circle. She also hosts a radio show, MYSTICAL CAFÉ, on Sirius Satellite radio’s LIME channel 114. If you’re ready to find true love, Arielle can show you how.

Q: How would you, personally, describe a "soul mate?"

A: I believe a soul mate is someone we feel a deep and profound connection to. Someone with whom we feel completely ourselves with. Someone that we love unconditionally and they love us unconditionally. And without trying to sound too sentimental, someone who completes us.

In the movie SHALL WE DANCE with Richard Gere & Susan Sarandon there is a terrific scene where Sarandon’s character is talking about why we would want a her soul mate relationship and says:

“We need a witness to our lives. There's a billion people on the planet... I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you're promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things... all of it, all of the time, every day. You're saying 'Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness'."

Q: Do you believe everyone has a soul mate?
A: Yes, I do and I believe that with a little focused time and energy everyone can find theirs. While most people think of a soul mate in romantic terms, I also believe that there are other kinds of soul mate relationships. For instance, look at the friendship and connection that Oprah and Gayle King share. I would definitely call that a soul mate relationship. I also believe you can have pets that connect with you on such a deep level that they deserve to be called soul mates.

Q: Is there only one? Or can we have more than one?
A: I personally believe you can have more than one soul mate in a lifetime but not necessarily at the same time. My mother-in-law, Peggy, is a good example of this. She was happily married for 55 years. After her husband died she was sure she would spend the rest of her life alone…then last year she began setting the intention for a companion. An internet-savvy friend of hers logged on to www.match.com and found a potential date for Peggy with a retired lawyer named John who had also enjoyed a fifty-year plus marriage until his wife died. Peggy and John met nine months ago, sparks flew and they are now in a deeply committed, loving relationship. By the way, she is 80 and he is 83!

Q: Have you always believed in soul mates?
A: Absolutely. I have always had a “knowingness” that I would someday find my soul mate and even though it didn’t happen for me until I was in my mid-forties, I never gave up hope. I believe that having love in our lives is as natural as having air to breathe and water to drink. If you are willing to clear the clutter from your heart, mind and home, love can be yours!

Q: Do you think there is timing involved with soul mates or can we rush it?
A: I am a big believer in divine timing AND I also believe that we have free will. It’s when the two meet up that magic happens. I always say prepare your self now, surrender to the Universe and savor the waiting.

Q: Why do you think so many people struggle with finding their true love?
A: One of the most common reasons is that after a few bad relationships some people unconsciously shut down and give up. They no longer believe the right person is out there for them and while one part of them is saying “YES, I want a relationship,” the other part is saying “NO! I’m afraid to get hurt again.” A big part of manifesting love is preparing yourself by overcoming the emotional wounds and baggage that we all have.
In the SoulMate Kit there are processes, projects and emotional release techniques that assist in healing the heart and opening up to love. I created the Soulmate Kit so that everyone could have access to finding the relationship of their dreams.

Q: What is the Universal Law that can be used to find your soul mate?
A: It’s called The Law of Attraction and it says that you will attract to you those people, events and experiences that match your state of being. If you focus on having gratitude for the love, companionship and joy you have in your life right NOW, you will attract more of that into your life. If you focus on what you don’t have, you will send out a message of lack and you will attract more lack into your life.
In the movie CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD the character Neale says to God,
“I just want my life back.”
    And God says to Neale,
“You can’t have anything that you want.”
They then have an entire dialogue where God explains to Neale that by ‘wanting something (or someone)’ all you get to have is the experience, the feeling of ‘wanting.’
As part of the preparation to manifest your soul mate I suggest that you begin the process of “living as if.” This means that your daily actions become congruent with your beliefs.
For instance, I once heard a story about the great actress Della Reese. During the time she was waiting for her soul mate to arrive, she would set a place at the table for him each time she had a meal. Eventually, he arrived. Della sent a clear message to the Universe and the Universe delivered.

Q: What are the key steps to manifesting a soul mate?
A: In addition to healing your heart from past relationships you need to create a clear intention. The analogy I like to use it this:
When you walk into your favorite coffee hangout what is the first thing you do? Place your order. You confidently tell the barista, “I will have a tall, half-caff, low-fat mocha latte, with a splash of non-sugar vanilla syrup to go.” The barista smiles, writes your order on the side of a cup and takes your money. Within minutes you are walking out the door with the precise, delicious cup of coffee that you ordered. Ordering up a soul mate from the Universe works in a similar way. It’s not always as instantaneous but it can be just as precise. But to have the Universe to deliver your perfect soul mate, you must first CLEARLY place your order. This isn’t quite as easy as it sounds. You must first search your heart for what you really, really desire. By now you know what you DON’T want but you need to ask for what you DO want. In the Soulmate Kit we explain how to place your order by creating a detailed list and we then provide a variety of rituals to do to release your list to the Universe.

Q: Tell us about the woman who used crayons to manifest her soul mate.
A: Her name is Gayle and many years ago she was advised by her astrologer to put her intentions for a soul mate into the world by coloring a mandala. She took a black & white mandala and a rainbow of multi-colored pencils and began declaring her intentions while she colored in a space on the mandala. She asked for things like: finding the perfect spiritual friend and lover to go through life with; a man who is kind to animals; someone who would appreciate her sense of humor; a man who would be accepting and open to her spiritual quest. For each intention she used a different color until the entire mandala became a multi-hued Technicolor testimony to the qualities she desired in her future partner. Within weeks of doing this she met her soul mate and they have now been married for more than 20 years! Anyone who would like a mandala can get one for free by visiting www.soulmatekit.com/love

Q: What is in the SoulMate Kit and where is it available?
A: It is a multi-media product of audio, video and a workbook that provides simple and easy steps to manifesting soul mate using prayers, techniques, visualizations, emotional release processes and rituals that I have created. It is only available online at www.SoulMateKit.com

    Meet Jewell Powell

Jewell R. Powell is a marriage coach,
    inspirational speaker, and author.
Jewell has made it her mission to
    help married couples, especially
those who are having trouble in
    their marriages. She believes that,
    with effort and God’s grace,
all can have a ‘happily ever after’
marriage when you live by faith.

Lewis and Jewell pledged their love until death before a host of family and friends on May 4, 1996. Immediately, they started having problems, one of which was infertility. Within four years, they found themselves sleeping in separate bedrooms, not liking one another very much, and estranged as a couple. Now, while they are facing new challenges, they have found their way back to one another and are stronger and more committed than ever to having a strong, satisfying, and faithful marriage.

Jewell Powell was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey. When she was four years old, her mother and father moved to Maryland and shortly thereafter divorced. Jewell met her Prince Charming in July of 1992. Both were aware of the statistics concerning marriage and came from families with divorced parents and siblings. Nevertheless, they were in love and ready. They did seek pre-marital counseling for approximately three months and determined they would be fine. After they got married, Lewis stop going to church, while Jewel remained a faithful, active member.

The author of Marriage 101 found herself separated from her husband after four years of marriage and on a spiritual journey. She quickly found out that marriage was nothing like the fairytale books she read as a child. Her faith had her searching for answers. Why would God create a union in which a man and a woman could not get along? More importantly, why would He want us to stay with that person until death do us part, yet have us be so miserable and at odds? Why were so many, including herself, heading towards divorce? The questions were ongoing, and so were the answers. As she found answers to her questions in the Bible, she decided to write a book to help others.

Marriage 101, which is written as a parable from the fairytale Sleeping Beauty, allows readers to become more familiar with God’s plan for marriage. Jewell discusses His principles for bringing about positive change in your marriage through the use of clear biblical and practical guidance. She also shares intimate details about her personal experience of fighting through an unhappy period in her own marriage and teaches you how to build a healthy, happy, satisfying relationship with your spouse. This book/workbook combination offers an 8-week plan for individual or group study that encourages examining the areas in our lives that need to change. Marriage 101 shows you how to live and love by faith and will transform your life.

Jewell accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1980 at the age of 14. She and Lewis are members of the Way of Life church, located in Waldorf, MD. She graduated from VCMI Ministerial Training School in July 2003 and is a student at Regent University, School of Divinity. Jewell and Lewis started the “Happily Ever After” Marriage Ministry. Lewis, who gave his life to Christ at the tender age of 10, is the CEO of Antiok Holdings, Inc., a small minority 8(a) firm headquartered in Southern, MD. Antiok is an emerging full service management/consulting firm. They have two daughters, Lauren and Diamond. Jewell and Lewis are devoted to having a satisfying and fulfilling marriage and to helping other couples do the same.

    Victory 2009

    VICTORY IN 2009

This year and this month mark a new day in history as Barack Obama becomes the first black president of the United States. After reading many newspaper articles and magazines as well as watching the television, it is clear that this historical event brings pride and hope to all, especially black Americans. It proves to us exactly what God can do.

Barack Obama is living out his God-given purpose. This in itself shows us that nothing is impossible to them that believe.

But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides (Matthew 6:33 amp).

In other words, seek God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
For some of us, we know in part our God-given purpose. And we are pursuing and working diligently to achieve it. However, we must remember not to neglect our primary God-given purpose, which is the calling of wife and mother.
Because most of us claim to be virtuous women, let us take a look at the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 amplified (verses 11-12, 15-17, 25-28 and 30):

The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of [honest] gain or need of [dishonest] spoil. She comforts, encourages, and does him [my addition-her husband] only good as long as there is life within her. She rises while it is yet night and gets [spiritual] food for her household. She considers a [new] field [my addition-assignment] before she buys or accepts it [expanding prudently and not courting neglect of her present duties by assuming other duties]; with her savings [of time and strength] she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard. She girds herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] and makes her arms strong and firm. Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future [the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it]! She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction]. She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat. Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied); and her husband boasts of and praises her Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.

When working toward and fulfilling our God-given purposes, let's keep Proverbs in the forefront of our minds, especially the two scriptures that are highlighted, so we can remain faithful to that which He has called us to do first.

For others, who may not know what God is calling them to do, seek God and discover what He wants for your life. It is finding that vision that will drive you and sustain you to finish the course. Once you have identified your God-given vision, write it down and strive after it wholeheartedly.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 tells us to Write my [my addition-God] answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner [my addition-you] can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

We all have a God-given purpose and a time to fulfill it. Be patient, work diligently, and do not neglect the other things God has called you to do. For all of us, take this month to pray, [even fast] to see what God wants us to accomplish this year.

Remember, we should not look at President Barack Obama as our hope but as an example of hope and what God can do. God is our hope. He is the one who opens doors. He is the one who will give us everything we need when we seek Him first and do things His way. This is how we as women can be victorious in 2009.
