    Meet Shundrawn Thomas & J.C. Matthews

     
     

    Shundrawn A. Thomas, a native and resident of Chicago, IL, is a gifted teacher, author, counselor, entrepreneur, husband, and father. A licensed minister and motivational speaker, Shundrawn tirelessly uses his ministry gifts to equip and encourage in-dividuals in the areas of faith, family, and finance.

    Professionally, Shundrawn serves as Head of Corporate Strategy for Northern Trust, a leading wealth management and asset servicing firm. He previously served as a vice president for Gold-man Sachs, a premiere investment banking firm. His principled business approach and dedication to excellence have made him an invaluable advisor to institutions and individuals.

    Shundrawn is an entrepreneur, serving as co-founder of Adelphos Holdings LLC. The company's primary business is Christian retail operating under the SincereMilk brand name. Shundrawn and his wife are proprietors of another enterprise - Tree of Life Resources LLP which develops faith-based multi-media content.

    Shundrawn is actively involved in his local church and community. He serves as a minister and board member of Look Up and Live Full Gospel Ministries. His church and community activism have afforded him numerous opportunities to speak locally and nationally on subjects including Christian living, faith, marriage, education, entrepreneurship, and personal finance.

    Shundrawn holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Florida A&M University. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.     J.C. Matthews is a noted author, teacher, speaker, founder and Senior Pastor of Dunamis Life Ministries of Dallas, Texas. Pastor Matthews is known for his love of God’s Word, unusual wisdom, passion for teaching the Kingdom of God and his gifting in practically applying scripture to everyday life. He is the author of the Saved but Stuck: 30 Days to Personal Revival”. “I’ll Come … When I Get Myself Together” and “My Situation Is Not My Destination”.

    		What if I were to tell you that all the disappointments, failures, pain, and struggles you’ve experienced were part of a larger plan God has for your life to equip and empower you to fulfill your destiny? 

    What if every door that was shut in your face was not one of rejection but divine direction?

    What if God never intended for your situation to become your destination, but only preparation? Would that change your perspective of your past and present situation?

    God intends that our lives should be something that is enjoyed, not simply endured. This does not happen by mistake. It happens on purpose. It starts with our making a decision that we want the best that God  and life has to offer us.  No matter what the landscape of our lives looks like right now, it can and will change if we don’t give up.

    When we understand that our past and present problems serve a particular purpose in our development for our destinies, we avoid the mistake of making temporary situations permanent ones. Until our change manifests itself, we must continually encourage and remind ourselves that our situation is not our destination, but only preparation!
