LaTanya Tatum was diagnosed Stage 2A Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Breast Cancer) on November 11, 2006.  After completing a vigorous treatment regimen that consisted of 4 rounds of chemo, 33 rounds of radiation, and 1 year of Herceptin infusions, she is living cancer free and doing her part to be a "better survivor" by sharing her survival story with others. She is very involved in the Austin, Texas community and volunteers with the Komen Austin Affiliate, Princess in Training, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. 

Crystal Brown-Tatum is the Founder and President of Crystal Clear Communications-a Dallas based award-winning public relations firm. She is the author of a breast cancer memoir "Saltwater Taffy and Red High Heels: My Journey through Breast Cancer" and is a 6 year advanced stage breast cancer survivor. She is a dedicated patient advocate and dedicates her time to awareness and education outreach programs in Texas.
