Radio Resistance

If you caught Adam Kokesh co-hosting last Friday you may remember that the DC chapter of Iraq Veterans Against the War is sending a care package to Marines who lost both their personal gear, as well as their military gear when part of Camp Fallujah caught fire. If you're interested in sending something for the care package, check out Adam's blog for more information: http://kokesh.blogspot.com/2008/06/camp-fallujah-marines-need-help.html

Also,  the Grassroots Netroots Alliance (GNA) has put together a survey for all 2008 candidates. The survey asks for the candidates positions on a number of very specific issues ranging from Iraq and Afghanistan,  Israel/Palestine, and the use of the military without a declaration of war, to standards for organic food labeling, corporate personhood, as well as many more issues. You can send this survey to all of your elected officials and as well as local and national candidates for office at this link: http://www.votersforpeace.us/pvpquestions.html#

And, finally, you may or may not have seen this (it isn't in the US corporate media at all), but there is a bill in the Congress that would call for a blockade of Iran! Not only that, but this bill has bipartisan support! In the House the bill is co-sponsored by 77 Democrats and 92 Republicans. You can find more info here: http://www.unitedforpeace.org/article.php?id=3907 I strongly urge that everyone call their Representative and Senators and voice your opinion on this bill. A blockade is an aggressive act, an aggressive act that could very easily lead to a full scale war with Iran.
