Well into their 9th year of changing the way people listen to the internet, your friends in podcasting keep finding new ways to do just that … This week, it’s a three-way Skype show with special (and frequent) guest Marc Hershon of Succotash. He joins Dean and Phil to discuss this weekend’s 4th annual Los Angeles Podfest and to review the podcasting documentary “Ear Buds”.

Before that, Phil rips the Emmys a new one for putting on such a boring show, while commending them for a few of their choices in honorees. Then, Dean champions a film by a female director that has stood the test of time. Phil lauds two recent independent films – one horror, one comedy – that you (yes, YOU) will absolutely love. That leads into their ongoing discussion on the art and commerce of supporting players, or “character actors”. Finally, Phil brings back the “Live Event of the Week” after seeing one of Dean’s favorite Broadway shows of recent years.
