Guardianships:  Wyoming Law / Nuts and Bolts.  Presented by Shawnna Herron, J.D., Wyoming Attorney General's Office. This program will address the option of guardianship for children in custody of the Wyoming DFS.  The audience will learn about the Wyoming law and nuts and bolts of guardianship as a possible pathway to permanency.  They will learn about the situations that are appropriate for guardianship, avoiding the pitfalls of guardianship, who can petition for guardianship, where to file for guardianship, who consents to guardianship, the differences of the various types of guardianship (e.g. temporary and permanent), subsidized guardianship, and the dissolution of guardianship.
