Grilled Bananas Foster

 

  • 1 stick of butter
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • 4 bananas, whole
  • ¼ cup of rum, Bacardi dark
  • ¼ cup of milk, condensed
  • ½ cup of vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 1/8 cup of canola oil

 

Take bananas and rub lightly with canola oil and place on hot grill.

Place butter, brown sugar and rum in skillet over medium-high heat.

Stir and until skillet ignites and then let mixture cook until flames die and alcohol cooks off. Quickly add condensed milk and whip vigorously for about 2 minutes and remove from heat.

Take grilled bananas off of grill and place on plate and cut lengthwise to form pockets..

Drizzle skillet mixture into banana pockets and top with crushed vanilla wafers.

 

Takes about 15 minutes
