    Bertrice Small is the author of more than 42 romance books in the subgenres of historical fantasy, and erotic contemporary. She is the author of The Kadin, Skye O'Malley, A Dangerous Love, and the fantasy series, "The World of Hetar", among others. She has recently ventured into erotic contemporary, with Forbidden Pleasures, Private Pleasures, and Sudden Pleasures (June 2007).

    Bertrice Small has topped numerous bestsellers lists, including the New York Times, USA Today, Publishers Weekly, and LA Times and been the recipient of many prestigious awards, such as "Best Historical Romance," "Outstanding Historical Romance Series," "Career Achievement for Historical Fantasy," and several Reviewers Choice awards from Romantic Times Magazine. In 2004, Bertrice Small was awarded a "Lifetime Achievement Award" by Romantic Times Magazine for her contributions to the Historical Romance genre.
