We'll be spending the night with Nick Walker from The Weather Channel!  We'll be discussing this year's phenomenal weather events, but we'll hear from Nick what it has been like to be the forecaster and reporter in the midst of it all.  We'll find out just what is happening this year at the festival in Birmingham coming up in October.

Wait, there's more... we're going to introduce you to WHY Nick is known as the weather dude!  We're going to talk about Nick's "weather music" and his career OUTSIDE of the television world.

When meteorologist Nick Walker from The Weather Channel talks to his national audience about weather, it's not just a scripted message. "I want my viewers to develop a fascination for weather, understand it, and respect its power," he says. And I want to do it in a way that's memorable."

His tactic? On camera he uses graphics, maps, and knowledgeable explanations. Off-camera, he sings. Known as "The Weather Dude" to thousands of kids and families throughout the country, Nick uses his vocal, instrumental and songwriting talents to drive home his meteorological message. From classrooms to science festivals and community events, Nick performs his catchy weather songs to teach the basics of weather, and to stress the importance of severe weather preparedness.
