Charles makes a delightful presentation on how to communicate successfully with those of different elements than you are. Imagine you are trying to persuade a fellow employee to do something, or you are making a presentation to a prospect, or you want to get your boss to see something the way you see it. Next, imagine that you can divide all of the people in your business into FOUR groups, each made up of a different element. If you are an EARTH person, then 25% of employees will automatically understand what you are saying, before you begin to talk. 100% of them will have affinity with you. You will also have 50% affinity with all of the WATER employees, because earth and water dissolve and merge with each other. Therefore, 50% of people will have SOME affinity with you. The same would also be true of a Water person doing the persuading. 100% of Water will be 100% with them, and 100% of EARTH will be 50% with them. FIRE people will not have earth or water, because they are normally not compatible in nature. But Fire people can COUNT on having every AIR person, because in nature, air is literally sucked into fire and consumed by the heat. But Air people cannot get Earth to even begin to understand them, because Air and Earth NEVER commingle in nature, whereas the other 3 elements do so in some measure. So Air people are the most unappreciated and underutilized. These principles apply to ALL types of relationships – husband and wife, parent and child, friendships, partnerships and business relationships of all kinds.
