Kathleen “Kristy” Brooks is an entertainer extraordinaire – singer, actress, dancer, educator and administrator. She has a Doctorate in Music and Theatre and three Masters Degrees. She had successfully written, directed, and produced three musicals during her educational tenure. Also, she is part-time instructor at the Art Institute of Las Vegas and the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). She has performed both solo and with the group worldwide, from the United States to Hong Kong, Singapore, Haiti, Bahamas, Hawaii and more. She travels Internationally as a performer and motivational speaker inspiring positive mental attitudes, leadership skills, better relationships through communications and a strong passion for the arts. 

Dr. Brooks, affectionately called “Kristy Love” Brooks, performed as a member of “The Platters” when she first joined the original company under manager Buck Ram who would replace the members as they left. At that time, this group held the official Platters title (handled by Ram, who helped copyright title to the name). Since 1998- 2006, she has been performing as a member of “The Platters” at the Sahara and RIO in Las Vegas. 

Kristy has an extensive history in entertainment. She is a former RCA recording artist and starred in the “Jimi Hendrix Story” on Broadway. She produced and starred in her own TV show “Kristy’s Positive Images” on Cable in New York and Las Vegas.  We have two sons, David and Solomon Brooks.
