George J. Haas
George Haas is member of the Society of Planetary SETI Research and the founder of The Cydonia Institute (EST1991). His research encompasses over 20 years of study and analysis of NASA and ESA photographs of the surface of Mars. Beginning with the Face on Mars, he began documenting a set of unprecedented parallels between aesthetically designed structures on the red planet with the art and iconography of Mesoamerican cultures. His early schooling was in the visual arts, which included painting, sculpture and photography. He is a sculptor, art instructor, writer, curator, and the former director of the Sculptors’ Association of New Jersey During the 1980s I exhibited extensively throughout the New Jersey and New York area and was represented by the Grace Harkin Gallery in New York’s East Village and had a one man show at the OK Harris Gallery of Art in Soho in 1989. In his provocative book, The Cydonia Codex authors George J. Haas and William R. Saunders use archaeological research discoveries and photographs from NASA and other space programs to document the uncanny similarities between Martian and now-extinct Earth cultures. The Martian Codex begins with a review of the thirty-year history of documenting the famous “Face on Mars” landform. Contact George Haas at: SPSR: http://spsr.utsi.edu/ STAIF: http://www.staif2.org/
