I Am Worth It!

Rites of Passage Program for Teen Girls Atlanta Division

Mission StatementI Am Worth It! Rites of Passage Program mission is to provide young women ages 12 through 18 with the opportunity to take a deeper journey into the path of self-discovery. Through our workshops, mentoring network, and supportive services, we will provide young women with the motivation, inspiration, and guidance to ensure that they become effective leaders within their community. Our plan is to dismantle any feelings of inadequacy that may have an affect on how young women perceive themselves; and instill in them a strong sense of purpose and self-confidence. We will support these young ladies in their personal and educational endeavors and celebrate them as they transition into womanhood; well equipped physically, mentally, and emotionally to lead the next generation.

Vision StatementOur vision is to become a paramount program that will instill confidence and create the next generation of women leaders. To provide a strong, focused support team of mentors that will help to equip these young women with the necessary tools and knowledge needed to transition into womanhood, knowing their self worth.

--What are the difficulties young ladies are having/facing today? When we were growing up it was the black girls wanted to be the white/blonde blue eyed girl, because that's what we thought that was pretty.
