Last month Lori shared with us her experience at TEDx Columbus. This month she'll talk about the story that inspired her to get up in front of 700 people and talk about Mr. "Smith." Lori met Mr. Smith the first month she began working in hopsice. This is only one of many stories that has changed Lori's perspective forever.
This story is about compassion through the art of listening from the heart. "You can cultivate compassion through personal reflection, "heart", and acts of kindness and altruism. Recent research has demonstrated the benefits of cultivating compassion and kindness in improving health and well-being." (Susan Bauer Wu).
In Lori's work with people who are very sick, she has witnessed enormous powers of strength, love, and forgiveness and much more. Giving the person who is sick tremendous relief and the ablity to enjoy their life and feel more connected to family and friends.
Chai Chat is hosted by two good friends, Victoria Vetere and Lori Guth Moffett. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
