We all have our own opinions and we should be very careful not to mischaracterize others. I have my own views which I hold near and dear to my heart. I'm not "WRONG" just because you either don't understand or you disagree.
Faith and Politics can they be meshed togther, can they be a compliment to one another? Should they be seperate, can they stand together? Is man the ultimate authority or is God?
Government in my view should not operate as a religious Institution but Government should always understand that their ultimate goal is to protect the good and punish the wicked and that is done through legislation and the enforcement of law.
I believe problems arise when we lose focus. Our founders understood that our focus should not be on the institution of man but on man instituting the principles of Judeo-Christians standards of Life, and Liberty. Our Government is not one that was meant for an immoral and irreligious people. Religion according to George Washington was a main pillar for American society.
Faith is not an extra cirricular activity but a life style I will explain what I mean by it.
