The Alkaline Diet is a diet based on the scientific theory that certain foods when consumed leave an alkaline residue or ash minerals containing elements like calcium, iron magnesium, zinc, and copper and are said to be principal components of the ash. A food is thus classified as alkaline, acid or neutral according to the PH solution created with its ash water. It has been proven that when the body is mostly acidic the body is a breeding ground for disease.
