Jerome Ersland: Guilty or Innocent of Murder, Part II took this debate into a new direction. The panel consisted of (OK) NAACP State Conference President Anthony Douglas, (OK) State Senator Ralph Shortey and (OKC) criminal attorney Anthony McKesson. State Senator Shortey defended why he helped draft the Jerome Ersland Act when Anthony Douglas questioned why he would ever draft such a STUPID bill. Senator Shortey contends the bill will close the loophole on the amount of force a business owner could use when defending his business in robbery situation. Shortey furhter stated it would NOT matter if two bullets or 50 bullets were fired into a suspect, as long as the business owner said he or she percieved themselves to still be in danger.
