"Stop the Violence: Kids Killing Kids"

There seems to be an increase of mob-like violence, where a group of individuals will attack another individual for no apparent reason. What has happened in our society that causes a mob of teens to want to brutally beat another person to their death. What makes someone take the time to video tape the incident with their cell phone as oppose to calling 911 and getting the victim some help. Are our teens so numb to violence through their music, movies and video games that it no longer bothers them to see another person murdered. We explored some of what we believe are the root causes of why this type of violence is happening more and more. Our guest today were Dr. Marion Mouton a principal with FWISD, Dr. Wafeeq Sabir of the Ft Worth Police Deparment's Gang Unit and Mr. Johnny Mohammed a mentor with Umojha. Attached is the video footage of the beating death of Derrion Albert. We were so moved by the footage that it was actually the catalyst for today's show. We questioned whether to post this video out of concern for it's graphic nature. But this show is dedicated to the memory of Derrion Albert, maybe through discussion we can figure out why this keeps happening.
