"If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten." Lots of people are credited with that quote - everyone from Henry Ford to Albert Einstein to Mark Twain to motivational speaker, Anthony Robbins.

But in the end, it doesn't really  matter who said it. What matters is that it is true. We know that Albert Einstein is the one who said: - "The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

So what does that have to do with Building Empires? Everything! If you haven't built at least one empire - personal, buiness or otherwise - you've obviously been doing the same thing you've always done, so you are getting what you have always gotten. And that would appear to be NOT where you want to go!

And if you are doing the same things over and over again, expecting different results, does Einstein's definition describe who you have become?

Ignorance can be cured with education. That means consciously deciding that you are going to change the things you've been doing, figuring out what it is that you really want and then acquiring the knowledge on how to get it.

Unfortunately, stupid is all the way to the bone. Some people just never get past the "poor pititful me; life isn't fair; why do bad things always happen to me" syndrome. Those people cannot be helped unless they change their minds and their attitudes.

Do you want to build an empire in 2014? Join Teresa Beeman as she talks about how Empowered Women Build Empires. It's an 8-part series that starts today and is brought to you by the Center For Empowered Women.

This show airs live at 11:00 am Eastern time on Mondays and Wednesdays, except for holidays.
