While we should be grateful for all we have all year 'round, here in the United States, the month of November focuses on thankfulness.
We celebrate Thanksgiving Day on the last Thursday in November with lots of food, family and friends gathering for a one-day celebration and leftovers that seem to hang around for days.
The day after Thanksgiving is known for being the kickoff of the Christmas shopping season. The rest of the year is one shopping trip after another; one party after another; one crisis after another until we are exhausted from all the hubbub, vowing to start earlier the next year.
But in the midst of all this hurrying and scurrying, and a few moments on Thanksgiving Day to reflect on the things for which we are grateful, we are likly to be setting ourselves up for the inevitable emotional crash that follow so much activity and little to no time to ourselves.
The days of November are already flying by and Thanksgiving will be here in just 3 short weeks. Why not take time now to give some thought to why you should be Thankful to Be Empowered?

At the Center for Empowered Women, this is what we are all about - Empowerment, how to achieve it, remembering to be grateful for it and giving a helping hand to those who are also seeking it.
