Organized crime in Las Vegas was at its height in the 1970s, and nothing was as it seemed. Dennis Gomes, chief of the audit division for the gaming control board during this time, uncovered this organized crime occurring in Las Vegas casinos. He was an aggressive maverick who dealt with numerous famous cases, one of which was the basis for the Martin Scorcese film "Casino." Danielle Gomes, Dennis's daughter, has just released a book on her father's amazing career in the industry called "Hit Me!: Fighting the Las Vegas Mob by the Numbers." She joins us on today's show to discuss this adrenaline-pumping book.
