The Proverbial Line in the Sand...

In this outreach program the discussion will be based on perception, as this title appears to be viewed by people of different faiths, beliefs and cultures. When it seems like your back is against the wall and there is no where to go, but to make a stand and stand strong on your principles of what you know is to be right. While you draw this proverbial line in the sand you notice that you begin to alienate yourself from others near to you. You notice the independence it gives you as to being able to stand up for what you hold true. You also notice that some or even many people don't see your side of this stance as being smart or wise. Yet you hold your ground. There are times in our lives when we have to be held accountable for our choices. Living as a human being with ability to discern circumstances is a gift from the almighty. No other living creature has this ability and that gift makes you very, very special. When you make the choice to commit yourself, mind, body and soul to Christ, you by your own choice and free will may have with out knowing it, just drawn that line in the sand. No one forced you into making a choice to live a life that now must become not only personal to you but, also in living your life in a Christ like manor. We will talk about what Christ Jesus has to say about this subject by looking at his statements which should give you courage and strength when holding your ground when adversity strikes.
