Brittney Hicks aka "Killa Roses"

Brittney Shawnta' Hicks (born November 20th 1986 in the LIVE Music Capitol of the world: AUSTIN, TX) is a single mother with a passion and desire to pursue her lifelong dream of leaving a positive imprint in music and entertainment history.

Creating fun, timeless and relatable tracks that edify the new and older generations is her calling. Fresh on the scene, this BMI songwriter, rapper, singer, mentor and actress/model is simply a breath of fresh air!

Far from ordinary, this beautiful spirit, known as “Killa Roses” is a woman of versatility, ambition, and determined to change the world with words of empowerment, encouragement, affirmations, and motivation. She truly believes that it is time to AWAKEN
the minds of all those that are trapped in darkness.
"S.L.I.D.E" is an acronym that represents her mission: Scintillating Lyrics Injected Daily Edifies! Believing strongly that the need of "real soul music" or basically "music with meaning" is highly needed at a time such as this.
Teaching young women to remember that they are Queens and not “objects” as well as change the way that females are viewed in today’s hip hop scene is her main focus.

She is currently in the studios working on her project to release her infused style of music. Musical influences ranging from old school and new school artist in the genres of Blues, Hip
Hop, Jazz, Country, Rock and Soul. Recently her music was selected as the theme song of the new Urban hit series “Music and Murder” directed by Greg Galloway. More of her music will
be featured on this show as well. You can stay up to date with her music as she posts it on Sound Cloud and other social media sites.
