HOW DOES IT WORK?

The spy camera pen comes in two parts. A working pen and a mass storage device with built in video recorder.
First is the pen barrel and tip. This is a working ball point and there is access to replace the cartridge.
Second, is the business end of the digital spy pen. The top part of the pen unscrews to reveal a USB connecion. At the top of the clip is the pinhole camera lense and at the rear is the indicator light. On the very top is the function button.

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

Recording

Firstly you need to screw the two parts of the digital spy pen camera recorder together.
Clip on to an inconspicous part of your person
Press the top button once to enter standby mode – indicated by an amber light
Press the top button once more to begin recording – indicated by a blue light
To stop recording – press the top button until the indicator light turns amber
To shut down – Press and hold the top button for 5 seconds

Transfering video

Seperate the two parts of the pen to reveal the USB connector
Plug the pen into a free USB port
Wait for Windows to recognise the USB Storage Device
Open the USB Pen folder. Then the ‘Movie’ folder and finally the ‘Record’ folder
You should now see your video waiting to be viewed

Watching the video

Typically media player will be fine.
You may need to download an AVI codec for the video to play
Other users of the pen recommend downloading and installing ‘VLC’

Resetting

If you are having problems with the spy  pen recorder you can try pushing the reset button
Use a paper clip or needle and carefully push into the hole on the back of the pen.
Feel for the reset button and press lightly
Turn back on
