Zachery Tims and Christian Cannibalism

Pastor Zachery Tims was found dead recently in a New York hotel room.  This latest, tragic example of clergy self destruction leads us to examine how we treat one another.  The vultures have been circling since Pastor Tims' death, but they started circling in earnest in 2009 when he and his wife divorced after it was revealed that Tims had a year long affair with an exotic dancer in Paris, France.  

Are our expectations of spiritual leaders unrealistic?  Tims is but the latest in a long line of spiritual leaders from across traditions who have fallen from grace in the eyes of their flock.  Do we expect too much and offer too little support?  Do we forget that spiritual leaders are first and foremost human beings?  We'll examine this and more on today's Christ Enlight
