Wisconsin and Collective Bargaining

As we all know by now, controversy continues to boil in Wisconsin, with newly elected Governor Scott Walker firmly and publicly entrenched in a position to legislate away collective bargaining rights for Wisconsin's public employees. His position is that, despite the fact that public employees are willing to agree to the cuts in his so-called budget repair bill in order to keep collective bargaining rights, he will not compromise. What are the spiritual implications of all this? What would Jesus say about it? How are we to understand it as people of faith?
