Today the Rev. Canon John Surinchak, OSL, and member of the UAC clergy joins us to discuss healing prayer. The Rev. Canon John Surinchak is an Army retiree, having spent 12 years in aviation and 8 years in the Army Medical Corps. He received his B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Tampa and a M.A. degree in Physiology from San Francisco State University. During his time in the medical corps he performed biomedical research in various fields, to include healing. His work on the acceleration of wound healing by use of lasers was some of the original research in this field and his articles published in the scientific medical journals are still quoted after 25 years. The Spirit touched him in 1998 and was called to work in healing prayer which coincides with his medical research concentration. John received training in healing prayer at Francis MacNutt's Christian Healing Ministries Center in Jacksonville, Florida and from various other sources. He is a member of the Order of St Luke and currently operates the Santa Venetia Healing Ministry in San Rafael, CA where he works with the sick, poor and homeless. Join us for what's sure to be a lively discussion!
