The Eternal Word Broadcast

The Eternal Word Broadcast is hosted by Catrina Blount. Catrina is definitely one sent by God. Catrina is an anointed and powerful vessel who has allowed God to guide and direct her life. God has gifted her in many ways. His calling is sure upon her life, and God uses her in the gifts of teaching, prophecy, and healing. She is also an anointed singer and psalmist and loves to praise and worship the Lord. Catrina is also a published author. Catrina has proven herself a faithful servant of the Lord as an active member of The Rock Ministries International, Humble, Texas, under the leadership of Bishop David and Pastor Shelia Pittman, since 1998. She was licensed as a Minister by The Rock Ministries and the Unity Alliance Fellowship of Churches in 2000. Living into her vision, Catrina was later ordained as an Evangelist and then as an Elder by The Rock Ministries and the Unity Alliance. Catrina’s ministry experience enables her to reach a diverse audience with the gospel of Christ. Catrina desires to help people excel to higher levels in ministry. She is anointed to teach with balance and revelation. She takes great joy in ministering to anyone who will listen. She has a unique and direct approach of getting listeners' attention and assisting them to overcome their hang-ups and move forward into their God-given destiny. Catrina’s goal is to be an encourager to all she comes in contact with.

Show Notes

The Eternal Word Broadcast is designed to further our mission to impart eternal values in an ever-changing world. Drawing strength and revelation from the Word of God, this ministry is based on 2 Corinthians 4:17-18: "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." May the Eternal Word of God encourage you to set your mind on eternal things. Please post a comment regarding any show you have enjoyed or a post a general comment on the show page. I appreciate your input as it will assist this ministry's growth. BRAND NEW: Sign up for my monthly newsletter by clicking the provided button. Is Your Church Healthy?

As we draw near to the end of the series on building a healthy church, I just want to share some thoughts that will help us determine whether our churches - more specifically, we - are healthy, vital parts of the body of Christ.

You are not only a member of a church, you are a church - the temple of the Holy Ghost.  The presence and the power of God reside within you.

Every Christian, every believer, is responsible for learning the word of God.  The only way to do this is to study the Bible.  There are many versions of the Holy Bible available today.  You should study from a version that you can understand.  If your church is going to be a healthy church, you must read and study the Bible.  This is the key to success in every area of your life.

In a healthy church, God, and his Son, Jesus Christ, are the center of worship.  It is not just about what type of music we sing, fast or slow, traditional or contemporary, classic hymns or songs we create ourselves.  Worship is about reverencing (respecting) God and honoring his divine presence and power.  We do that through our songs, our actions, and even our giving.

Prayer is an important part of the life of a healthy church.  Just like you talk to your family and friends, you must have communication with God.  He wants not only for you to talk to him, but he also wants to give you his instructions for your life.  Developing a healthy prayer life will increase the health of your church.

In a healthy church, there is love.  But what type of love is it?  We find in our lives, and in our pursuit of love, that there seem to be many kinds of love.  Our goal as a healthy church is to have "Agape," the kind of love that God has for us.  Agape love is benevolent.  It does not love because of the other person's traits or treatment.  It is self-motivating.  It loves because it wants to - just like God.  And agape is demonstrated through sacrificial giving.

Finally, a healthy church grows through evangelism.  In a healthy church, believers actively share their faith so that others can come to know Christ.  Since before John cried out, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand," and Jesus walked the shore and called his disciples, saying, "Follow me," evangelism has been a vital part of the plan of God.  The early church grew by leaps and bounds as the result of evangelism.

Do these attributes describe you?  If so, congratulations!  You are very likely a healthy church.  If these concepts are foreign to you, perhaps you need to re-examine the health not of the church you attend, but of your personal church - you!

The road to maturity in each of these areas may differ from person to person.  But I want to encourage you to get on the path, stay on the path, that will bring your church - you - to a state of health.  Then you will be an even more profitable part of the Body of Christ.

Much love from me to you.
